Viral! Keith Lee Forces Seattle Restaurant to Close after His Video Goes Viral, Reveals for Health's Sake
--
Mobinity.com - A sushi restaurant in Seattle has closed after a food review by influencer Keith Lee, who apparently unknowingly ate what his fans thought were worms.
FOB Sushi Bar announced on Instagram that it would be closing its two locations "until further notice" due to "recent food safety concerns."
"In response to recent food safety concerns, we have decided to close our FOB Sushi locations in Seattle and Bellevue until further notice. Your health and safety is our top priority.
We are conducting a thorough investigation to address this situation and will take all necessary measures to prevent it from happening again," the restaurant said. The closure comes after Lee's review earlier this month, which sparked a wave of concern and confusion among fans.
The controversy began when the former athlete turned social media star uploaded a clip of himself trying a piece of salmon.
As Lee held the fish up to the camera, viewers noticed a wriggling motion. Many fans were disturbed, worried that the popular TikToker may have unknowingly eaten a worm.
The restaurant initially responded by defending its food safety standards, assuring the public that they are "committed to upholding the highest health and safety standards to provide clean, fresh, and safe food to every customer.
" They went on to explain that the movement in the fish may have been caused by Lee's chopsticks, adding, "The movement seen in the fish may have been caused by the natural elasticity or pressure of the chopsticks when applied to its structure."
However, Lee later posted another status on social media, which further heated things up. He revealed that someone who visited FOB Sushi the day after was hospitalized after eating there.
