"The incident is believed to have occurred recently, but the Prison Service has confirmed that the woman there is no longer employed," said a spokesperson.
Staff corruption cannot be tolerated and "the former prison officer allegedly appearing in this video has been reported to the police. It would be inappropriate to comment further during the investigation."
Wandsworth Prison came under fire from the authorities this year following the publication of a damning report by the Chief Inspector of Prisons, Charlie Taylor.

During routine visits, the agency found that 80% of prisoners shared cells designed for just one person, 44% tested positive for drugs and others were not allowed to wash for up to five days.
