In a message to parents, the superintendent told them about "...one of our teachers who shared what he intended to be a private message to his group on Snapchat."

The message went on to say, "We were inundated with calls and emails, especially from people outside the Cheshire community."
"People were doing that and saying that it was personal and this, but they wanted it out there," Shaw said. "So I think with that kind of attitude, I wouldn't want her teaching my child.
"She might not be the only one posting stuff like that, but as a teacher, I would be worried if my kids were being influenced by someone who I know is in a public school teaching them," Muratori said.
"I wish she would, like, check her politics at the door," said Cheshire resident Kim Pedersen. "I think an investigation is needed. Have I ever said rude things to friends? Of course, but that's very different from posting it on social media, even on a private channel."

News 8 was unable to contact the teacher who uploaded the video. State Senator Rob Sampson of Wolcott said, "Statements that invite physical confrontation and use threatening language have no place in our schools or communities."
"Upon learning of the nature of the post, an investigation was initiated," Cheshire police said. "God gives grace to everyone," Muratori said. "But I think, if anything, he should really check what he's posting."
