When is the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 Release Date? Here's The Update Scheduled!
--
As soon as the Fortnite servers go offline, Epic Games will roll out the next update that players can download, ready for Chapter 5 Season 4’s launch.
Previous updates have been roughly 95GB, so depending on your download speed, this may take a while. As with the beginning of every season, there will be a queue to get in at first while the servers deal with a massive number of people booting up the game at once.
As always, Epic Games is keeping details of the upcoming Fortnite season under lock and key. This means nothing concrete has been confirmed yet, although there have been plenty of rumors circulating that Chapter 5 Season 4 will have a Marvel theme. This would tie in nicely with the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Deadpool & Wolverine, as well as the new TV series Agatha All Along, which is due out in September 2024.

Longtime players will remember that Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 also had a Marvel theme. That season featured a Battle Pass with popular characters like Storm, Iron Man, Thor, and Mystique appearing as unlockable skins. The map also had several Marvel-themed POIs including Doom's Domain, as well as superhero-themed weapons like Wolverine's Claws and She-Hulk's Fists.
Reliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX recently claimed that Wolverine's Claws will be returning in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, which added further fuel to the fire. Of course, all of this should be taken with a pinch of salt, as they remain rumors until Epic Games officially confirms the theme of the upcoming season.
One thing that has been confirmed is that Fortnite Festival Season 5 will begin on the same day as Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Expect a new artist to take over from Metallica, with new skins, emotes, cosmetics, and jam tracks to enjoy.
