Viral! Haitian Immigrants Allegedly Eat Cats and Ducks in Ohio, Social Media Outcry

Mobinity.com - A Springfield, Ohio resident claims that Haitian migrants have been beheading ducks in a public park and eating them. The aggrieved man made the claim during a city commission meeting last month to address the influx of legal Haitian immigrants - which has revived the local economy, but also sparked controversy among locals.
'I really challenge all of you to get out here and do something,' he told the meeting.
'These Haitians are running into garbage cans, running into buildings... they're flipping cars in the middle of the street...'

The man adds: 'They were in the park, grabbed the ducks by the neck, cut off their heads, then took them away. They eat them.'
Reports of migrants eating animals such as ducks remain unconfirmed.
"In response to recent rumors alleging criminal activity by the immigrant population in our city, we would like to clarify that there are no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured, or abused by individuals within the immigrant community," the City of Springfield said.
Springfield, Ohio, has become a flashpoint in the immigration debate, after a wave of Haitian migrants arrived in the city in 2020 to fill job openings.
Willing to do blue-collar jobs that locals were not interested in, Haitians already in the country legally moved to the city.

Within a few years, 20,000 immigrants arrived, adding to Springfield's population of 58,000 in 2020. The Haitians had social security numbers and work permits, paid taxes, and lived in empty, boarded-up houses as the city shrank.
